YGB Europe 2025 Recap

Together we created YGB Europe 2025! Thank you to everyone who made the event possible. None of this would have been possible without our partners, the funding of the European Union and all of the amazing participants. This year’s edition took place in Leuven, Belgium, where we had a whole youth hostel by ourselves.

We had various workshop sessions organised by the participants. With a range of topics like wellbeing and identity, community engagement, creative expression, and career and education. There was a trip to Brussels, where we enjoyed delicious food in the African quarter. We got to know each other and bonded. There was so much Black joy everywhere, when we were dancing and hanging out. Let's not forget the legendary karaoke session. There was space to exchange our experiences as young Black people in Europe and share our visions. We explored how to unite the voices of Black European youth. We learned so much from each other and with each other. We will never forget that we are legacy!
